AteMate AI, more Movement types, support for iOS 18 & bug fixes!
AteMate leverages AI technology to support your wellness journey. It’s not a coach or a precise measuring instrument, but rather a knowledgeable, helpful friend. AteMate provides fun and useful insights based on your food images and entries.
We believe AteMate can elevate your journaling, personal growth, and long-term success. We’re excited to bring this tool to you and look forward to enhancing it based on your feedback. Let us know what you think and how we can make it even better.
How it works
AteMate analyzes your food entries based on what it can see in the photo. Sometimes it might not be spot on because it can only recognize visible ingredients. For instance, it can’t detect the quality of ingredients or hidden items like protein powder in yogurt (something I frequently use). And, of course, it can’t analyze what it can’t see—like the hidden layers in a Chicago-style deep-dish pizza.
AteMate Privacy Commitment
We are using an enterprise grade AI provider. This means your data is always encrypted, not used to train AI models, and not shared with unauthorized individuals.
Opt-in to Use AteMate
We believe AteMate is a fantastic addition to the app, and we’ve ensured your privacy is protected. However, we understand it might not be for everyone. That’s why it’s an opt-in feature. You can continue using the app just as before, even if you choose not to enable AteMate. Plus, you can disable it anytime if you decide it’s not for you.
Happy journaling!

Previous update (3.14):
A brand new way to manage all the charts on your Insights page. Yes, there are a ton of cool charts available. And yes, they were hidden and hard to manage. We fixed that in this release. Just tap on the more (...) icon on the top of the page.
Check out all the cool charts we added to help you discover your eating patterns, track your workout consistency, and a bunch more to help you on your journey.
For example, with our new Days Tracked calendar view you can make sure you are consistent in tracking your food, movement, and other activities. (Tracking everyday will give you the best results. However, that doesn't mean you should do everything every day. For example when it comes to movement, make sure you include some rest days to allow your body and mind to recover.)
Curious how your habits are spread out throughout the day (and on different days of the week)? Check out our new Time of Day activity graph that looks at the past 30 days to help you visualize when you are the most active. Any outliers? I found a few on my graph. (I need to cut out late night meals!)
