Hello, my back pain is getting worse.
This time, we have several good improvements.
- Fixed the order issue with photo recognition again
- Discontinued the default voice pause settings
- Other minor fixes
First, we fixed the issue where the order of text recognition for multiple photos was misaligned. We thought we had completely fixed this in a previous update, but it seems some bugs remained, so we are reviewing them.
Next, in the previous update, we added automatic voice pauses at punctuation marks, but there were many inconveniences, and many users preferred not having this feature, so we've quickly discontinued it.
We think it's better for each user to add their own pause list and customize the pauses at punctuation marks as they prefer.
We've also made several other small improvements.

First, we fixed the issue where the order of text recognition for multiple photos was misaligned. We thought we had completely fixed this in a previous update, but it seems some bugs remained, so we've reviewed and addressed them.
Also, adding small pauses at punctuation makes voice reading more pleasant to listen to, so we've implemented this as a default setting from the start.
In the paid version, you can freely customize the pause settings and override them if needed, but even in the free version, we now set appropriate pauses at punctuation marks by default.
We've also made several other small improvements.

Hello, I've found that eating until I'm about 80% full has improved my morning wake-ups.
This update includes minor improvements and fixes.

Hello, I'm having trouble getting up early.
Now, this time I'm giving a second try on a newly developed feature.
Text-to-Speech for Mixed-Language Texts
I recently developed a feature that automatically switches the speech language for texts containing multiple languages, but it came with several bugs.
For instance, the pause functionality at specific words failed to work, and sometimes the speech would start looping unexpectedly.
However, I believe this feature is extremely useful for language learners, so I couldn't give up on it, and thus reworked it as an optional setting in the Settings > Audio & Speed screen.
This option, when turned off, will not switch languages within mixed-language texts, so the app remains stable as before by default.
Moreover, I believe I've managed to get the pause functionality to work alongside the new feature. If you encounter any issues, such as looping in specific texts (a problem I couldn't reproduce myself), please report the situation and the text via Settings > Feedback—it would be greatly appreciated.
For now, this new feature is available only to premium users, so please give it a try if you're interested.

Hello, I'm back to waking up early.
This time, we have an emergency fix.
@ Fixed the pause functionality bug.

@ Disabled the multi-language text-to-speech feature.
In the previous update, we enabled simultaneous text-to-speech by automatically switching languages even for texts mixing English, Japanese, etc. However, this introduced several bugs.
Specifically, it was reported that the pause function stopped working and that, in some cases, the speech would loop repeatedly. Considering these issues, I decided that it wasn't acceptable and reverted to the original functionality for now.
Mixed-language text-to-speech is ideal for language learning, so I am considering either improving the feature or allowing it to be enabled via a dedicated button in the future.
I apologize for the inconvenience and hope things will work smoothly soon.

Hello. I've been staying up late recently.
Well, this time it's quite a good update.
＠ Now able to read aloud texts containing multiple languages
＠ Support for personal voice
First, it is now possible to read aloud texts containing both English and Japanese, switching to the respective voice language.
This is particularly useful for those using texts with English and Japanese translations for language learning.
In Voicepaper settings => Voice => Language, you can customize the speed for each language, so you can have English read slowly and Japanese read quickly.
Additionally, we have added support for the feature introduced in iOS17 that allows reading text with your own voice. Currently, this is only available for English and Chinese, but if you train your voice for about 15 minutes on your iPhone, you can select it as a voice in Voicepaper.
