Learn and practise Polish verbs with this interactive verb reference and drill tool. With over 200 core verbs, Polish Verb Blitz is a clear and effective way to refresh and revise your grammar skills as well as expand your everyday vocabulary.
As well as a verb reference, there is a set of intensive verb drill activities to quiz your conjugation knowledge, including:
- Infinitive quiz: do you know the meaning of the each verb?
- Conjugation quiz: can you select the correct verb form for the English translation?
- Snap quiz: can you spot when the Polish and English sentences match? Try to get ten in a row!
- Gapfill: can you spell out the missing word in the conjugated sentence?
In the settings, you can select which tenses to drill in the games. So whether you're a beginner, or already on the way to mastery, there's a level for you!
The app will track your scores throughout the games, so you can check in the Performance section at any time to see the entries you're finding trickiest.

This update sees a big upgrade to v3 of the Verb Blitz engine! Amongst the general interface and activity makeovers, improvements include the following:
- Verb paradigms have been extended to include the conditional
- The perfective of verbs has been more clearly marked where available
- Game answers have been broken down by gender for much clearer activities
- Thematic verb topics have been added to select in the games
We hope you enjoy the updates, and as always, let us know your feedback if you have any ideas for making the app even more effective for practising your Polish.

In the settings section, you’ll find sliders to adjust the speed of the multichoice and snap games. Speed them up for a challenge, or slow them right down to revise at leisure. It’s your call! We've added a really handy feature in this update, which was actually suggested by one of our users. You can now use unaccented characters to search for entries in the verb browser. Looking for 'iść'? Type 'isc' and it will appear. Hopefully it will make verbs even quicker and easier to find. Also, you can now adjust the speed of the snap and multichoice games - just look in the settings section to find the relevant sliders. Any other suggestions? This update corrects an issue on some iOS versions where the Infinitive Quiz failed to start properly. Thanks to the user who spotted and reported that bug. We've also added a few seconds to the multichoice quiz timer while we work on a custom option for that in the settings.
