- Select the Ruqyah mp3 that match your problem (e.g to cure Hasad, play sound No. 26), listen attentively, follow & feel the meaning of what is being recited.
- Read the Ruqyah verses (preferably in Arabic) or in English & try to feel the meaning of the verses & put faith in Allah that He'll accept your Ruqyah dua & heal you or solve your problem.

3) To believe that verily Ruqyah has no benefit by itself, but the cure is from Allah.
4) Not to perform Ruqyah in a state of major impurity (junub) or in a place that is not permissible to perform ibadah i.e. graveyard, bathroom, etc.

'Uthman bin 'Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "He who recites three times every morning and evening: 'Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'as-mihi shai'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i, wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim (In the Name of Allah with Whose Name there is protection against every kind of harm in the earth or in the heaven, and He is the All-Hearing and All- Knowing),' nothing will harm him."
