    When sound waves reflect off the walls, ceiling, and floor of a room they produce "room modes". These affect the sound by boosting or cutting certain frequencies, making some sound too boomy and others not present enough. To get the best performance out of your subwoofer, it is important to position it in a location that minimizes the effect of room modes.

    Previously, finding the best place to put a subwoofer has involved trial-and-error or expensive acoustic software. Some even suggest crawling around on your hands and knees to listen for the best spot. Now, SubZone allows you to calculate the optimal position in a scientific and affordable way from the comfort of your seat.

    Key features:
    - Supports any rectangular-shaped room
    - Simulates the acoustic effect of placing your subwoofer in each possible zone of your room
    - Calculates a score out of 10 for how well each zone performs
    - Recommends the optimum zones, marked with a star
    - Plots the frequency response for each zone, showing which frequencies are boosted/cut and by how much

    Target frequency range
    - SubZone can now further optimize the position of your subwoofer by targeting a specific frequency range. You may want to do this to account for your system’s bass management, or to match the frequency range of your subwoofer.
    - You can set the range by dragging the sliders on the x-axis of the frequency response plot. When you move the sliders, the heatmap will automatically update as it optimizes to the specified frequency range.

    Guidance
    - On the room set-up screen we have added some guidance to help those who have non-rectangular rooms.

    Edit listening position
    - You can now edit a listening position by long-pressing its selection button.

    Other
    - Added concrete as a material option for ceilings.
    - Added labels to the y-axis of the frequency response plot.
    - Fixed a text cut-off issue affecting some phone models.
